Our mobile devices have A LOT of settings that impact your location privacy -- where you go and when you go there. Here's a primer on how to increase your privacy and reduce your location footprint.
Why?
Our phones collect a lot of data about our location—where we go and how long we are there. This information is valuable and can be bought and sold by companies for marketing purposes, but also used by governments (or hackers who get access to it through hacks) for purposes that you may not be comfortable with.
