I wrote a post a few months ago about the importance of protecting your DNA, mainly from 3rd parties like 23andme (see below link if you haven’t read it yet); the tl;dr is: don’t give your DNA to these 3rd parties and if you already have — delete it now!

Think twice before giving up your DNA to testing services like 23andme; but if you do, make sure you protect it!
